Who am I?
I am an artist based in Maitland, New South Wales, Australia. I work primarily in painting, with drawing forming an expanded part of my practice. Across both mediums, my work explores vulnerability, self-reflection, and the human experience.
Central to my painting and drawing is the belief that art functions as a reflection of the artist. I often work with worn brushes and pens that resist precise control, allowing error and hesitation to remain visible. These imperfections are not corrected, but absorbed into the work, becoming integral to its meaning and form.
My paintings and drawings are characterised by loose, expressive linework, restrained compositions and poetic titles. Through simple imagery, visual puns, and subtle deadpan humour, I aim to create work that invites reflection without too much instruction, leaving space for the viewer to bring their own experience to the work.
